Creating a better industry for tomorrow's leaders
Holtby Turner

The client:

Holtby Turner is a London-based executive search firm specialising in the built environment

The task:

What does the future look like for young people working in real estate and construction? How can companies build a more inclusive and diverse industry? How might new working habits influence the industry’s future leaders?

Holtby Turner commissioned Kent Nordic to conceptualise, research, write and design a flagship thought leadership report on the outlook for young people working in the built environment as the industry emerged from the pandemic.

During the process we canvassed the views of leaders, experts and young people from 23 leading companies. Our articles covered the value of data and emotional intelligence; why our education system is failing to deliver the skills the industry needs; how a redesigned office can be a vital tool for teaching; how virtual reality might be utilised to foster connection; how improving diversity requires accountability; why the industry is losing some of the brightest minds to banking and law, and much more.
