Hi, I’m Patrick Gower and Kent Nordic is my freelance business. Before working directly with brands I spent almost ten years in journalism in London, mostly with Bloomberg News.
I set up Kent Nordic in 2020 after noticing there were few experienced financial writers working solely with brands on written storytelling - the kind of stories that sit more closely with journalism and financial research than with marketing and advertising. I knew gifted writers picking up adhoc articles while they focused on their journalism, but outside of the big content agencies there were few writers embedding themselves with brands to help solve the strategic challenges that regular publishing presents.
Publishing is hard, and a lot of corporate content is anodyne or boring. But it doesn't have to be. Branded content can be as interesting as anything you pay to read in your favourite newspaper or magazine. Modern companies already have the data, the personalities and the expertise to tell great stories. At Kent Nordic, we help brands to channel what they have into content that entertains, displays integrity and builds real influence.
Kent Nordic is based in Stockholm, Sweden, but most of my clients are global brands operating from the UK and across mainland Europe. For projects that require complimentary skills, I work with a team of talented creative freelancers.
